Air/Nitrogen compressors used in Offshore Oil and Gas platforms are usually custom-designed to meet the capacity, pressure, environmental and technical requirements of clients as well as national and international codes and standards.

DNV certified frames and containers ensure safety and reliability of Air Compressors used in offshore platforms during transportation and installation on the platform.

Ex-proof provisions of Class 1, Div 2 or Zone II compressor assure safety of platform worker’s lives and equipment and protect environment in any event or accident leading to release of explosive gasses to compressor’s area.

Rig-safe Offshore Air Compressor designs are also offered for increased safety levels of compressors in Non-Classified areas, based on customer requirements.

Tier 4 final, low-emission Diesel Engines are used in NCA Offshore Air Compressors (Other tiers or electrical drives on request) and they can deliver high pressures of up to 5,000 PSIG.

Offshore Screw Compressors

NCA designs and manufactures Rig-safe and Zone II single-stage and two-stage Offshore Screw Compressors for the air pressure ranges of up to 500 PSIG and volumes of up to 3,000 SCFM per unit.

Screw Compressors on offshore platforms are either used as feed compressors for high pressure boosters or directly used in applications such as well testing, offshore drilling, pipeline services or Nitrogen generation.

Offshore Booster Air Compressors

NCA also manufactures DNV and ATEX certified High-Pressure Booster Air Compressors and Nitrogen Booster Compressors for offshore applications when lower pressure air or nitrogen are available through feed compressors on the platform. NCA offshore booster compressors can increase the existing Air/N2 pressure to 5,000 PSIG.
