Water Well Drilling

Air Compressors For Water Well Drilling

National Compressed Air (NCA) compressors assist water well drilling contractors to drill the well in the shortest time possible.

A Water Well is an excavation or structure created in the ground by digging, driving, boring or drilling to access water in underground aquifers.

The well water is drawn via an electric submersible or mechanical pump.  Wells can vary greatly in depth, water volume and water quality.  Water wells typically range from 20 to 600 feet (180 meters) but in some areas can go down to 3,000 feet (910) meters) or more.

“We drilled the first well with our new NCA compressor and everything went extremely well. I am very happy with the way it drilled and I would have to say it has picked up my production by at least 35 to 40 percent…. I am extremely happy”

Dave Irish, Owner

When drilling a water well through the hard rock, no drilling method is as efficient as a DTH Hammer energized by the right air compressor providing high enough pressure.

Softer grounds may also be drilled by air flushed rotary drilling, demanding a lower pressure air.

The air compressors may be installed on the rig, or a separate mobile compressor can be used to power the hammer and flush the cuttings out of the hole.
